A BIG THANK YOU!

As the COVID restrictions begin to lift and life starts to get back to some semblance of normality our fundraisers and supporters have been busy raising vital funds for GIST Cancer and PAWS-GIST.

Our thanks goes to Gayle Scott and the rest of the Miles for Moray team for the tremendous effort they put into completing the Kiltwalk at the end of April raising nearly £5,000 which The Hunter Foundation will top up by 50%!

We would also like to thank those who took on the 10k a Day for Cancer Challenge to raise money for us. This includes Alice Shuttleworth who raised over £3,000 by running everyday throughout lockdown in memory of her brother Harry (a GIST patient). Helen Manuel who with her friends Claire and Jayne walked 10k everyday during March which together with money from the Cricklade Jumble Trail raised just over £2,000.

Our thanks also goes to the amazing team at Doynton Village Market who donated £500 raised by selling cakes and other produce in the village hall.

All the money raised will help to make up the shortfall in our funding due to the pandemic, it will enable us to continue to invest in support for GIST patients & their families and to fund research projects focusing on improving treatments and ultimately finding a cure for GIST/PAWS-GIST.

Without the amazing support and dedication of our fundraisers GIST Cancer UK wouldn’t exist – so a very BIG THANK YOU to you all.
