The 20for20 Challenge is back!

The 20for20 Challenge is back!

We have again joined forces with 19 other less well known cancer charities to create an exciting 20-day challenge to raise funds to make up the shortfall in our income due to the pandemic. Funds that are vital to enable us to continue with our work.

This year’s 20for20 Challenge will launch on Monday 20th September and run until Monday December 20th 2021.

We’re asking you to join in and complete a challenge (big or small) each day for 20 days to raise funds for GIST Cancer UK.

Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1– Head to 20for20.org.uk and select GIST Cancer UK so that you can use our 20for20 Just Giving Page or set up your fundraising page

Step 2- Choose your activity – your challenge can be anything from jogging or cycling for 20 minutes (or 20 miles), to making and sending a postcard to 20 friends or baking 20 treats for family and friends so whether you’re 4 or 94 there is something for everyone…

Step 3– Start your challenge and ask all your friends and family to sponsor you- they can DONATE HERE or on your own Just Giving page

Step 4– Get social- share photos using #20for20 and nominate your friends to join you

Just 20 days to help us reach our target of £10,000 that will enable GIST Cancer UK to continue investing in research and supporting GIST patients and their families.

Dave Wilcock who took up the 20:20 Challenge in 2020 as a way of saying thank you to those involved in treating his partner Nicola said:

“I really enjoyed the challenge it was great to get out on my bike knowing that my efforts were raising money for such a good cause. I was touched by the tremendous support I got family and friends helping me to smash my target. I would encourage anyone who wants to help GIST Cancer UK to get involved with the 20:20 Challenge”

Dave cycled 20 miles a day for 20 consecutive days in all weathers keeping his 100+ supporters up to date with his progress by posting Strava reports on social media.
