Have your say in the next phase of the “Future of Surgery” research project…..

GSUK Trustee Terry Weldon has recently been approved as a patient representative for the National Cancer Research Institute, Sarcoma clinical group.

We have been asked to invite anyone who has had surgery, for cancer or for something else, to complete a survey for a surgery research project being run by the NIHR Bristol Biomedical research centre aiming to develop better methods for selecting, measuring and reporting outcomes of surgical innovations.

Currently, new drugs under development are subjected to rigorous, highly regulated  testing in the laboratory and later in clinical trials but new surgical techniques are not so closely regulated or tested.

More information about the COHESIVE Study and the survey, which takes c. 20 minutes to complete, can be found on our research page.

This link takes you to the survey.

Thanks in advance for your help!
