Jumping for GIST Cancer UK!

Massive congratulations to Francesca Wilkinson who has, quite literally, gone “ABOVE & BEYOND”  to raise funds for GIST Cancer UK!

“Hello, I’m Francesca Wilkinson and I am fundraising for,  GIST Cancer UK.  I did a 15,000ft skydive on the 3rd of November 2021 and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life!

I did this for my dad who recently got diagnosed with GIST. He’s had a really tough time these past few months with GIST. He had a 22.5cm tumour removed from his abdomen and unfortunately the cancer is still next to his kidney, in his bowel and has also spread to his liver. The specialists have said he will never be cancer free, but he has recently started imatinib to try and stop the growth. Fingers and toes crossed it works!”

In the meantime, I want to do as much as I can to raise awareness for GIST Cancer UK.

Also, I just want to say how much I love and appreciate my dad, what he’s been through this year and what he’s still going through, is a lot scarier than jumping out a plane so he has and always will have my biggest respects, forever”.

Francesca has already raised over £5,000 which is absolutely fantastic!
